Louise Woodside Harris, age 89, a native of Mexia, TX and a resident of Biloxi and Saucier, MS passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Merit Health, Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alta Ruth Woodside Richardson and Oscar Taylor Woodside.
Louise is survived by her children, Tiwana Harris Pearson, and Lynn Harris and wife, Evelyn Harris; her sister, Macie Woodside Kennedy; her grandchildren, Rebecca Michelle Pearson, Victoria Ruth Pearson, and Mercedes D'Lynd Pearson (children of Tiwana), Katherine Cortelyou, and Robin York (children of Lynn); her great-grandchildren, Alexis Louise Green, Hannah Marie Green, and Matthew Russell Green (children of Victoria), Courtney Ray Nicole Pearson (daughter of Rebecca), Jessica Hamilton, Aaron Hamilton (children of Katherine) and Mason York (son of Robin); her great-great grandchild, Asher Matthew Green (son of Alexis); her son-in-law, Matthew Russell Green Sr.; her nephew, Aubrey Kennedy; and her niece, Paula Brown.
Louise retired with over 20 years of service from Dr. Edward Cohen's Office of Podiatry.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, bingo, and listening to gospel music.  She was of the Southern Baptist Faith.
Louise was generous, kind and loving to family, friends and strangers.  She didn't want a service, all she asked is that each person that cared enough to grieve, instead go out and do a good deed for another.
Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's honor to Robinwood Baptist Church, 17076 West Wortham Road, Saucier, MS 39574.
