Louise Fendley Deas

Louise F. Deas, age 91, of Gulfport, passed away on August 18, 2015. Louise was born February 10, 1924, in Coffeeville, Alabama, and graduated from Picayune High School in 1941. After moving to the coast in 1948 she and her husband owned and operated Deas Tire Company. She was a long time member of Gulfport Church of Christ and then Orange Grove Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George w. Deas; her daughter, Pamela Deas; her parents, Elvin Fendley and Betty Pearson; and two sisters, Vernell Sheffield and Kathleen Fendley.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Foret of Vancleave, MS and Mendy Deas (Nancy) and her daughters, Twila Hidgon (Lonny) and Tanya Fayard (Johnny) all of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Bobby Brugge of Montana, Jody Howell of Grants Pass, OR, Michelle Swanson of Santa Maria, CA, Michael Foret of Denham Springs, LA, Vernon Higdon of Broken Arrow, OK, Kelly Higdon of Plano, TX , Michelle Deas of Omaha, NE, Mendel Deas, Tripp Fayard and Tory Fayard of Gulfport; and her nine great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her niece, Penny Walker, and friend, Daisy Brown, for their support and care as well as the staff of Camellia Home Health and Hospice.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
