Lou Betts

Lou Ann (Perkins) Betts, 63, of Gulfport, MS passed away on October 23, 2022, at Memorial Hospital.  Ms. Betts (the Little General as her family called her) was born in Wiggins and raised in Gulfport, went to Harrison Central High School where she graduated.  Lou Ann married a military man and travel the United Stated with him before settling back in Gulfport.  Besides being a housewife, she was also an Insurance Adjuster for many years.

Lou Ann loved bingo, shopping, country music and was a collector of many things.

She is preceded by her father, Alban Perkins and her mother, Velena Perkins and two beloved chihuahuas.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Cooper of Pass Christian, her sons Alex, Shayne and Andrew, Gina Betts of Waldorf, MD, and a great number of adopted children and family.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-3:30pm, Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.
