Lottie “Kitty” Stephens, age 89, of Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lee County, Mississippi, Kitty made her home in Biloxi, where she built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. She attended some college and worked throughout her life with Keesler BX, the Keesler Commissary, and later in sales at the Cracker Barrel Gift Shop.
Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, George Carlos and Estelle Rhudy; her brothers, Artis, Leon, George Carlos Jr., and Calvin Rhudy; her sisters, Velcie Sullivan and Edna Estes; and her son, Keith Stephens.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, Billy J. Kitty had a deep and abiding love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Wherever she went, she shared her faith and spoke to others about Jesus. She was a wonderful cook who delighted in preparing meals for family and friends, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Her family was the center of her world, and the time they shared was precious to her.
A devoted member of Parkway Baptist Church in Biloxi, Kitty loved her church and church family dearly. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was evident in the kindness, generosity, and compassion she showed to everyone she met.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who shared their love and support with Kitty throughout her life and during her final days. A special thank you is extended to Annie, her caregiver, whom Kitty thought the world of. The family is deeply grateful for the love and care she provided.
