Lorraine Bisner

Lorraine Alma Jenkins Bisner, age 83 of Biloxi, MS, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Bertie Jenkins and Melina Corinne Jean; her husband of 52 years, Edward Stephen Bisner, Sr., and her brother, Raymond William Jenkins.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Edward Stephen (Susie) Bisner, Jr., Thomas William Bisner and Michael Scott Bisner; her sister Loretta Corinne White; her grandchildren, Cynthia Marie McDonald, Christopher David Bisner and Matthew Michael Bisner; and five great grandchildren.

Born and raised in Douglas, Massachusetts, Lorraine graduated from Douglas High School in 1960. A proud United States Navy veteran, she served her country as a member of the WAVES. Following her military service, she enjoyed a career with the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement.

A passionate genealogist, Lorraine found great joy in exploring her family’s history. She was also an avid supporter of the Boston Red Sox and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. A lifelong Catholic and devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville, her faith was a constant source of strength throughout her life.

Beginning in 1991, Lorraine and her husband, Edward, selflessly dedicated more than three decades to caring for their son, Michael, after his catastrophic motorcycle accident—ensuring that he lived the fullest and most meaningful life.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, D’Iberville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow with military honors at Biloxi National Cemetery.
