Lorita C. Tamborella, age 68 of Kiln, passed away peacefully in Slidell, LA on February 20, 2013.
She was a native of New Orleans, LA and had been a resident of Kiln for the past 17 years. She loved going to the drag races with her husband on the weekends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Tamborella was preceded in death by her parents, Evon and Lorita Blackledge and a brother Mark Blackledge.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, George Tamborella Sr.; her sons, George (Sennie) Tamborella, Jr. of Kiln and Gene (Tonya) Tamborella of D'Iberville; her eight grandchildren, Joseph, Josh, Paul, Sennie Anne, Randa, Olivia, Dylan, and Tara and three great grandchildren, Paul, Micheal, and Lanyah. She is also survived by a sister, Lovone Kennedy of South Carolina and two brothers, Steve and Billy Blackledge both of Kenner, LA.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 2:00pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, where family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service. There will also be a get-together after the service at the Fenton Community Center on Kiln-Delisle Road.
