Lorin Sam Smith, Jr.

Lorin Sam Smith, Jr, age 68, of Gulfport, passed away on July 21, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lorin Sam Smith, Sr; his mother, Lottie Sharon Bond; and 2 siblings, Barbara Joe Hartmann and Betty Jean Fleming.

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Lorin “Sammy” Smith, III (Stephanie Dale O’Neal Smith), C. Scott Smith (Jacquelyn Blakslee Smith), and Stephanie Gail Smith; a brother, Andy R. Smith; a sister, Betty Joe Witchner, and Raymond Hartmann; his grandchildren, C. Luke Smith, C. Logan Smith, Cameron Evans, Christopher Evans, Levi Smith, Sadie Smith, C. Lincoln Smith, and C. Lane Smith; a nephew, James Witchner; and other relatives and friends.

He was a longtime resident of Gulfport and he enjoyed motorcycles, the New Orleans Saints, and Rock-n-Roll music.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4 – 5 pm the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport.
