Loretta J. Payne

February 7, 1951 — September 1, 2015

Loretta J. Payne, age 64 of Biloxi passed away from her 26 month long battle with lung cancer on September 1, 2015.
Loretta was born on February 7, 1951 to John T. Sr. and Sophia Langford in Jackson, MS but lived most of her life in Biloxi, MS.
She was a very giving and caring person who simply enjoyed life to the fullest. She had a passion for plants and flowers and over the years had a gorgeous back patio that family and others enjoyed. Loretta took night time courses over seven years to attain her Bachelor's Degree, all the while raising a family and working as a care giver to many children over the years. She was hired as a Special Education teacher and worked her entire 22 years at Woolmarket Elementary School. She absolutely loved teaching and helping her ""kids"" achieve. She made many lasting and dear friends at Woolmarket and loved her every moment there.
Loretta is survived by her sister, Elaine Rinehart of Seabrook, SC; brother, John T. Langford of Biloxi; daughter, Angela Towery of Diamondhead; son, Tommy G. Payne, Jr. of Biloxi; her husband of 44 years, Tommy G. Payne, Sr. of Biloxi, and her three grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, where friend may visit from11:00 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
