Lora Black Posey, age 95, of Gulfport, passed away on May 15, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad ""CJ"" Posey, a son, David Walter Posey, her parents, Walter and Luny Black, 4 sisters, Estelle, Idell, Nan, and Peggy.
Survivors include her 2 brothers, Harold Black and Dolphus Black, her caregiver, Barbara Hannah, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Posey was a native of Scott County and graduated in 1942 from the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Jackson. She later retired after 40 years of nursing from the VA Medical Center in Biloxi. She enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm Wednesday at Luther Chapel Cemetery, Pulaski, MS.
