Lloyd Edward Watson

Lloyd Edward Watson, age 87, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vivian Watson; his sisters, Irene Watts, Helen Wilson, Barbara Jean Watson, Velma Ruth Watson, and Ella May Watson; his brothers, James Higdon Watson, Alton Cleveland Watson, and Rudolph Watson; and his grandson, Steven Lee Fairley.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lula Fae Watson of Gulfport; his children, Linda Faye (Jeffery) Bordelon of Pascagoula and Larry Edward (Mary) Watson of Gulfport; his four grandchildren, Melissa Merritt, Rebecca Mullen, Elizabeth Watson and Kimberly Watson; and his seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla, Shelby, Trey, River, Destiny and Spencer.
Lloyd was an independent contractor for 35 years for Gates Cleaners and the owner/operator of Watson Carpet Cleaners. He was the honorary mayor of Betts Street. He had a great sense of humor and wit and he loved to fish and spend time with his family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Gardens.
