Lloyd Harold Pellerin passed away on May 2, 2015, at the age of 87 following a brief hospitalization.
Born in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts, the only child of French Canadians Henry and Ruby Pellerin, his life-long love of music was inherited from his father, a professional pianist and piano teacher.
After relocating to Biloxi several years ago, he enjoyed attending concerts at the Saenger and served as a board member of Coast Community Concert Assn.
Pellerin held a fascination throughout his adult life for all types of firearms, resulting from his first job at the Springfield Armory in Massachusetts and, until recent years, had a personal collection of various types of guns. He was a member of the NRA.
He received his education at parochial and technological schools in Massachusetts. As a young man, he served with the U. S. Army and was a member of American Legion Post 33 in Biloxi. An early marriage ended at his wife's death.
Pellerin moved to the Mississippi Coast to reside in Gautier from Clearwater, Florida, where he owned a motel and invested in condominiums. During his retirement years, he was involved with law enforcement and security.
A Catholic, he attended Our Lady of Fatima Church in Biloxi and volunteered with the parish's International Spring Fest.
Pellerin leaves a devoted companion, Emily Germanis of Biloxi.
