Lisa Ann Welbrock, 66, of Gulfport and formerly of New Orleans passed away on July 22, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. She was born on January 29, 1958 in New Orleans to John “Zeke” & Patricia Welbrock. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Lisa graduated from high school in New Orleans. She then went on to Elaine P. Nunez Community College where she graduated. After graduation she worked for Corroon & Black. Lisa then started working for Mercer where she became a Benefits Consultant for many years before her retirement.
Lisa enjoyed being in a group called “The Circle of Friends” who became her Mississippi Family who were made up of retirees that loved to eat, drink, travel, and have fun together. These friendships meant the most to Lisa and were cherished. Lisa found her love to travel, and went around the world to at least 5 of 7 continents. She was an outgoing and loving person, who always had a smile on her face and a laugh that could fill a room. One of the things that Lisa enjoyed was being in the kitchen, and loved finding new recipes to try. She was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother, friend, and companion to her dog “Dopey”. Lisa was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lisa is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Laylle; grandchildren, Haleigh Laylle (Zach Schwaibold), and Mikaela Laylle. Lisa also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of cousins, friends, her “Circle of Friends” who were her Mississippi Family.
Per Lisa’s wishes were to not have any services and to be spread in some of her favorite locations.
