Linda M Wittman

Linda Marie Wittmann, age 63, of Pass Christian, passed away on February 7, 2014 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Shirley D. Wittmann; and a brother, James C. Wittmann, Jr.
She is survived by her siblings, Stephen D. Wittmann (Elizabeth), Susan A. Wittmann, Cathy Wittmann, and David Wittmann, all of Pass Christian; her nieces and nephews, Nathan Wittmann (Jennifer), Sarah W. Billiot (Tony), Stephen B. Wittmann, and Samuel Wittmann; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her special friends, Lori Carpenter and Scooter Scarborough.
Linda was a gentle soul with a loving heart and a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to dance, was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and the World's Best Hugger. She was an avid square dancer and belonged to the Gulf Coast Western Variety Dancers attending National Conventions from Orlando, FL to Louisville, KY and points in-between. She retired from Special Olympics competition as a champion gold medalist in both swimming and bowling. She bowled with the Gulf Coast Alley Cats earning many trophies, including three turkeys. She danced in the Performing Arts division of the Special Arts Fair and in exhibitions with the Gulf Coast Western Variety Dancers. She was a maid in the court for the Reunion Ball for Harrison County Child Development Center.
Linda loved swimming and enjoyed trips to Orange Beach, AL. She liked dressing up and dining out and wearing anything that sparkled. She loved antique cars and riding in her brother's convertible sports car. Cruising the Coast was an especially exciting time, her favorite car being the Mustang.
Linda graduated from Harrison County Training Center for Exceptional Children and attended Benchwork Industries and Brandi's Hope. She enjoyed attending Interdenominational Special Sunday School in Long Beach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Menge Ave, Pass Christian with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the Mass. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery.
