Linda Shiyou

Linda Shiyou, passed away on June 22, 2024 in Long Beach, Mississippi. She was born on October 10, 1946, in Meridian, Mississippi.

Linda found joy in simple pleasures such as gardening and cherished moments spent with her family. Her love for nurturing plants mirrored the care and love she showered upon her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rayford Shiyou, her grandson Darryl Wayne Mitchell Jr., and her parents Frank and Irene Singleton. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew them.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness to be carried on by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her children Philip Mitchell, Darryl Wayne Mitchell Sr. (Sharon), and Douglas Mitchell (Tiffany). She is also survived by her siblings Charlotte Mitchell and Larry Singleton (Bobbie).

Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Jessica Hillman, Amanda Currie (Josh), Madalynn Yates (Joseph), Alex Mitchell, Justin Mitchell, Ryan Mitchell, and great-grandchildren Lexi, Kambry, Jaydon, Rylee, Gracelynn, Elias, Lillyann, Christian, Isabel, Bexley, and Braxton.

In celebrating Linda's life and legacy we remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who brought light into the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM, a funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
