Linda Metcalf Sample, 72 of Long Beach, passed away November 21, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Metcalf; her parents, Hubert and Opal Martz and her stepson, Jeffery "Speck" Holland.
Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jimmy Sample; her daughter, Ashley (Dominick) Fimiano; stepchildren, Ada (Eddie) Ladner, George (Cindie) Holland, Marty (Mag) Holland, Mike Holland, Regina (David) Yarborough, and James (Brenda) Sample, II; her sister, Clara Grimes; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Linda was a Cocker Spaniel breeder for 30 years and life-long supporter and active member of The First United Methodist Church of Long Beach. Linda lived her Methodist Faith as an active member of the Administrative Board, Finance Committee, Board of Trustees, Christian Life Center Building Committee, Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study, Circle One United Methodist Women, Aldersgate Sunday School Class, and Older Adults of Kindred Spirts. Linda was always very supportive of her family and friends; she was always willing to help a friend in need.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. The Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
