Linda Darnell Beaver Nelson

Linda Darnell Beaver Nelson, age 58, of Gulfport, passed away on April 22, 2023, at her residence. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Brad Donald Kasaj; and her grandmother, Nell Speaks.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Larry and Sue Beaver; her mother, Janell Wade; her son, Craig Nelson; her daughter, Autumn Ruddy, her sister, Paula Renee Page; her brother and sister-in-law, Shannon and Stephanie Beaver; her grandson, Waylon Ruddy; her granddaughter, Remington Moran; her nieces and nephew, Elizabeth, Bradyen & Ashlynn Beaver, and Bridget Kelly.

Linda was a native of Gulfport and graduated from Harrison Central High School. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, and she enjoyed gardening, music, and crafting.

Linda was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, friend, but the name she loved most was Grandma. She had made so many friends outside and within her neighborhood, always enjoying the sunsets and tending to her garden. She was a very loving, kind, free-spirited and live-in-the-moment woman. We know she is happy to be back with her son Brad and has returned to God’s hands.  

As the nature of Linda’s passing was completely unexpected, we are requesting any contributions in lieu of flowers to give her the proper respects she so truly deserves.  

Friends are invited to join Linda's family for visitation and services on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at North Long Beach Baptist Church, 7061 Beatline Road, Long Beach, MS.  Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Linda will be laid to rest at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
