Linda Gill Naron, born on December 18, 1943, in Houston, Mississippi, passed away on May 9, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was 82 years old.
Linda grew up in Houston, MS, and moved to the Gulf Coast in the 1970's. She had a dedicated career, working as an Executive Assistant for the Plant Manager at DuPont.
Linda was a woman who enjoyed many interests and hobbies. She was the past president of the Diamondhead Garden Club and spent much of her time gardening outdoors, finding joy in nature and plants. She also loved playing Bridge and Bunco with friends. Additionally, she was an active member of the Live Oaks Restoration Project in Diamondhead, showing her commitment to community and environment.
Linda is survived by her husband of 63 years, C. Lamar Naron, who was a constant companion and support throughout her life. They shared a long and loving marriage. She is also survived by her son, Clif Naron, and his wife Rebecca Black Naron, who live in Alabaster, Alabama. Linda was a proud grandmother to Aidan Naron and Scotlyn Naron, who brought happiness to her later years.
She is also remembered by her brothers: Jim Gill and his wife Dianne of Atoka, Tennessee; Mickey Gill and his wife Lynn of Houston, Mississippi; and Mike Gill and his wife Karen of Oxford, Mississippi.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Lillian Gill.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 19th at Diamondhead Community Church.
Throughout her life, Linda touched the hearts of many with her kindness and sense of community. She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her love of the outdoors and dedication to her hobbies and causes left a lasting impression. Linda’s family and friends remember her with great fondness and gratitude for the life she shared with them.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diamondhead Community Church.
