Linda Lea Brower (neé Lasley), age 80, passed away on April 20, 2021 in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born on November 29, 1940 in Texarkana, Arkansas to William Lasley and Juanita Scott Lasley. Linda was retired from the US Government where she was the Director of Marketing and Reutilization for the General Services Administration. Following her retirement, Linda moved to Tennessee and then to Mississippi, where she spent her final days. Having lived in Europe for many years, Linda enjoyed travelling, RVing, and cruising. She considered it bad form to call while Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune were on.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Juanita; her sisters, Billie Jean and Judy; brothers, David and Michael and infant son Jack; daughters Paula and Teresa; grandson, Kyle; and great-granddaughter, Lacy.
She is survived by her children, John Brower, Jr. of Gulfport, Mississippi, Cindy Carter (Robert Darrel) of Dickson, Tennessee and Wendy Brower (Ray Feagins), of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Andrea Seas and Tiffani Carter of Charlotte, Tennessee, Joshua Gable (Tamara) of La Plata, Maryland, Skyler Barnes (Ricky) of Washington, Missouri, Tajia McGilberry (Sean) and Leigh Brower of Wake Village, Texas, Michael Carter (Hayley) of Dickson, Tennessee and Samantha Walsh of Clarksville, Tennessee; Great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah, Paige, Ashlynn, Kasen, Emma, Finley, Lyla, Oliver, William, John Thomas, Rose, AJ, Kharmen, and Marquez; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate if you would consider making a contribution in her name to your local animal shelter, American Cancer Society, the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
