Lillian Brown

Lillian Ladner Moran Brown age 99 of Pass Christian reach her faithful hands out to Jesus as he called her home, she was born on August 24, 1921 and died on April 27, 2021 which would have been her 75th wedding anniversary. She was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Dedeaux Catholic Church and never missed mass unless she was sick and could not drive herself. She loved her faith and church family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Forest and Suzanne Ladner; her first husband, Jessie Moran. Her 2nd husband of 45 years, Homer Brown, whom she spent many hours working together and then resting in the swing under the oak tree; her sisters, Arvy Shaw, Lucille Mayfield; and her brother, Macy Ladner. The Brown side of family and all her friends, as she would say "another empty house".
She was the matriarch of the family and is survived by her children, Wayne (Irene) Brown, Jannie (Phillip) Malley and Warren (Deborah) Brown; grandchildren who was proud of and bragged about continuously, Monica Brown Malley Ladner (Glenn), DeWayne Malley, David Malley (Janene), Shannon Malley (Kris), Kent Malley, Heather Brown (Jeremy), Constance Brown Grimes (Jonathon), Kimberly Brown Bowlin and Karen Brown; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Our Mother left this earth surrounded by her family and being abundantly loved. She prayed right up until the second that she could no longer communicate, and God called her home.
We would like to thank all our children, family, friends, the wonderful nurses, care givers who stood by her side making this journey comfortable. Especially Monica who gave all her medications, and LaVonne King who tirelessly kept things always going.

The visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dedeaux. Burial will follow in Standard Sandhill Cemetery.
