Lie Chun Syu

June 6, 2016 — June 6, 2016

Lie Chun Syu, 89, a sweet soul who was adored and affectionately called ""Mama Snow"" by her nursing home staff, left her daughter's embrace and embarked on her journey to Nirvanas on June 6, 2016.
She is survived by daughter, Wendy, and son-in-law, Ben Benoit. Orphaned as a toddler in Southern Costal China, she was adopted by multiple families and eventually settled in then Japanese occupied Taiwan. She worked as a Nanny in California before moving to Mississippi. She spent many happy years making beautiful ceramics at Biloxi Senior Citizen Center. In 1997, she became a naturalized US Citizen by passing the exam with a perfect score. She held neither educational nor social pedigree, but always disciplined herself to live by Karma and taught her family right from wrong. Despite dementia, her sweet spirit melted the heart of everyone she met.
Her family will hold her a memorial service at Chua Phu Hau Buddist Temple on June 12, 2016. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, served the family. Online tributes can be made at www.riemannfamily.com
