Lia Lana Fortenberry

Lia Lana Fortenberry, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and caretaker, passed away on August 5, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1964, in the beautiful state of Hawaii. Lia was known for her vibrant personality and her incredible sense of humor that brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her ability to ignite belly laughs and share her light with others made her an exceptional individual.

Lia dedicated part of her life to caring for her mother, showcasing compassion and selflessness as she fulfilled this duty. Her nurturing nature was evident through her career as a caretaker. Lia's love knew no bounds as she offered unwavering support to those who needed it most.

Lia graduated from Pass Christian High School, where she developed a strong foundation for her future endeavors. Additionally, she successfully attended Blue Cliff College, further enhancing her knowledge and skills.

One of Lia's favorite pastimes was searching for seashells along the beach. These serene moments allowed her to connect with nature and find solace in the beauty that surrounded her. Her appreciation for little treasures mirrored the joy she sought to bring into the lives of others.

Lia's passing leaves behind an immense void in the lives of those who held her dear. She is reunited with her parents Richard C. and JoAnn LeGoullon and her brother Tony Scott LeGoullon in eternal peace. While Lia's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, they find comfort in knowing that she is now in the embrace of loved ones who have gone before her.

Lia leaves behind a legacy of love within her surviving family. Her adoring husband Stacy Fortenberry stood steadfastly by her side for 16 years until the very end. Their bond was built on unconditional love and unwavering support. Lia's resilience inspired Stacy throughout their journey together, and her memory will forever be cherished.

She is also survived by her beloved son Ethan Haas and his wife Mary. Lia's dedication to her family extended to her role as a mother, where she offered guidance, love, and support. Her grandson Micah Haas brought immeasurable joy into her life, and she cherished the moments they spent together.

Lia's sisters Terry Hall and Tina Copeland shared a special bond with her. They supported each other through life's ups and downs, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Lia's nieces Catherine Copeland, Michelle Ferguson, and Jennie May, along with her nephews Christopher Copeland and Michael Smith, were fortunate to have such an incredible aunt who loved them unconditionally. She also leaves behind numerous grand nieces and nephews whose lives she touched in profound ways.

Lia Lana Fortenberry's bright light has transitioned into eternal radiance, leaving us with fond memories that will forever warm our hearts. Her spirit of humor, kindness, and selflessness will continue to guide and inspire us. While we mourn her loss deeply, let us celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the love she shared.
