Lex Edison Mohon, age 80, and a resident of Biloxi passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Gulfport.
He enjoyed racing motorcycles in his younger days, and retired from the U.S. Air Force after 25 years as a Chief Master Sergeant, having received many commendations for his service. After retirement in Charleston, SC, he relocated to the coast, where he was involved in a lifelong real estate career.
Mr. Mohon was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Mohon and Rev. Morris ""Buddy"" Mohon; a sister, Faye Stallings; and a son, Lex Mohon, Jr.
He is survived by his first wife, Kaye Perrett of Gulfport; two sons, Keith Mohon and Timothy Van Mohon, both of Biloxi; his daughter-in-law, Barbara Mohon of Santa Fe, NM; four grandchildren, Ry Mohon, Lex Mohon, III, Rory Khan Mohon, and Lily Turner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment with full military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
