Leslie Gene Hudgeons, age 83, of Biloxi passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019.
Leslie was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, and graduated from Andrews High School in Andrews, Texas. After graduation, he joined the Air Force as a Radio Relay Equipment Technician. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 23 years and worked another 20 years at Ingalls Shipyard as a Draftsman Engineer. He and his wife of 57 years, Winifred Hudgeons raised 7 children.
Leslie loved golf and football. He was an avid Saints and Cowboys fan. He was a Shriner and also volunteered at Keesler Air Force Base.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Newell and Bertha (Fortenberry) Hudgeons; his son, Mark Walfield; and two sisters, Betty and Delores
He is survived by his wife, Winifred Wallace Hudgeons; his daughters, Jennifer (Doug) Hudson, Christine (Ronnie) Smith, Cathy (Larry) Garrett, Karen Verzwyvelt, Kim (Scott) Lewis; son, Michael (Tammy) Hudgeons; his sisters, Kay and June; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
A graveside service will be held on, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 11:00am, at Biloxi National Cemetery. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to St. Jude's or Shriner's Children Hospital. Mr. Hudgeons was a long-time supporter of both organizations.
We have shared many dances through the years, and we will be dancing together in the future. "Good night and God bless." You'll be missed. We love you.
