Leslie M. Hammons Jr.

Leslie M. Hammons, age 85, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home in Poplarville, Mississippi, surrounded by the love of his family.

A lifelong Mississippian, Mr. Hammons was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was married for 64 beautiful years to the love of his life, Bonnie White Hammons, and together they built a home filled with faith, commitment, and unwavering love.

Born and raised in Mississippi, Mr. Hammons graduated from high school before beginning a long and dedicated career as an electrician. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local Union 903 in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he worked faithfully for many years, earning the respect and friendship of all who worked alongside him. His strong work ethic, dependability, and skill left lasting impressions on countless projects and people throughout the Gulf Coast.

Mr. Hammons loved the simple joys of life and found peace in the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching baseball, hobbies that brought him happiness and many cherished memories with family and friends. He was also a devoted member of the Baptist faith, grounding his life in the values of kindness, humility, and integrity.

Those blessed to carry his memory forward include his wife, Bonnie White Hammons of Poplarville, MS; his children, Kelly Hammons, Kelvin Hammons, and Destiny Hammons; and his grandchildren, Kelvin Hammons Jr. (Little Kelvin), Devin Hammons, Jaden Hammons, and Haley Hammons. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, Mississippi, beginning at 1:00 PM, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Burial will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Allen Cemetery, located on 28th Street in Long Beach, Mississippi.
