Leonard Barton Harris, age 67, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport.
Leo was a native of Gulfport and a life-long resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta. He was a projection and sound engineer with RCA and United Artist Theaters, and was owner of the Hardy Court Cinema. Being a coast native, he had a love for boating and the outdoors.
Leo was preceded in death by his father, William Harris; his mother, Mary Harris; and his sisters, Phyllis Necaise and Sandra Stewart. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sarah Ware, and her sons, Jack and Matt; his son, Andrew Harris; his sister, July Miller; his brother, Keith Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Friends are invited to join Leo's family for a time of gathering and services on Saturday, April 17th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, MS. Gathering will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Leo will be laid to rest at a later date in the shade of his favorite oak tree.
