LeeAnn Rich Mitchell

LeeAnn Rich Mitchell, age 60, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and LeDoris Rich; and her mother-in-law, Linda Robinson (Mitchell).

LeeAnn is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jeff Mitchell; children, Brandon Quin and Carlton Mitchell; siblings, Troy Rich (Lisa), Kathy Mitchell (Tommy), and Kimbel Rich (Jennifer); grandson, Jeffrey Wheeler Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, and residing in Long Beach, MS with her husband, LeeAnn brought warmth and kindness to everyone met, nurturing her community through her unwavering dedication as a nurse.

LeeAnn's journey began at Harrison Central High School, where she graduated in 1983. She continued her education at MGCCC, earning an associate's degree in nursing. For twenty remarkable years, LeeAnn devoted herself to caring for others, spending five of those years at Garden Park and thirteen years at Memorial Hospital. Her commitment to her patients was a reflection of her generous spirit—a spirit that will be deeply missed. Beyond her professional success, LeeAnn was an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary Elks.

Outside of her professional life, LeeAnn enjoyed a wealth of hobbies and interests. She cherished spending time with her family, finding solace in the pages of a good book, appreciating the beauty of nature, and caring for her beloved pets, which included both cats and dogs.

LeeAnn will be missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to the Oncology/Radiation Group at Memorial, including Dr. Fussell, Dr. Krentel, the ladies at the Infusion Clinic, and the other departments at Memorial for the last 13 years.
