Obituary

Leamon J. Necaise, Sr. passed away July 16, 2026 in Gulfport, MS at the age of 94.  Born on September 16, 1931, he was a lifelong resident of Harrison County, member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and a retired stainless-steel worker.

Leamon’s journey was graced with devotion to his loved ones. He was a cherished husband to his late wife, Muriel M. Necaise, whose memory he held dear. Together, they built a family bound by love and support, navigating life’s triumphs and challenges side by side.

Leamon is survived by his sons, Rex A. Necaise, Sr. (Gloria) and Lowry J. Necaise; his grandchildren, Brad J. Necaise, Joseph "Joey" Necaise (Colleen), Jostlin "Josh" M. Necaise (Krystle), Derek W. Necaise (Melissa), and Myra Necaise.  Leamon was blessed to have 12 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is reunited in eternal rest with his beloved son, Leamon J. Necaise, Jr.; his grandson, Rex A. Necaise, Jr.; grandsons Randy D. Necaise; and granddaughter Janice Necaise. Also preceding him were his parents, Emile J. Necaise and Cornelia M. Necaise, as well as his siblings, Lawrence M. Necaise, Lenace Necaise, Lionel Necaise, and Bernettie Necaise. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who survive them.

In his spare time, Leamon enjoyed building nesting bird boxes, fishing, and hunting.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled for 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on July 21, 2026, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, located at 9062 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS 39571. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following at 1:00 PM with burial taking place at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou. 

Leamon will be missed by all who knew him.

The Necaise family would like to especially thank the nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospice for all their kind and loving care that they provided.  Leamon was blessed to have their care.
