Lawrence Mayman

Lawrence Mayman, 64, of Gulfport passed away July 2, 2025.  Larry was raised in Springfield, Virginia and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He spent most of his adult life in Centreville, Virginia. He then resided in Edgewater Florida and Gulfport Mississippi.

He graduated in 1983 from American University in Washington D.C.

Larry was predeceased by his father Jerry Mayman and Mother Barbara Marshak Mayman.

He leaves behind sons Mike Mayman (Rachel) and Peter Mayman, grandson Brooks Mayman, former spouse Susan Mayman, brother Alan Mayman and niece Mia Mayman.

Larry loved life and got tremendous enjoyment from coaching his son’s youth basketball and soccer teams.

He was a kind soul who never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He would give to others whatever he could without asking for anything in return. He was joyful, fun loving, happy-go-lucky, genuine, smart, funny and had a heart of gold.

He passed too early; he will be deeply missed by many.
