Laurie Kay Jones, now with her Lord, age 47, of Diamondhead, MS, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
Laurie was born in Pascagoula, MS to William Hoyt and Carolyn Berniece Savage Anderson. She graduated from Pascagoula High School, MGCCC, and the University of Southern Mississippi. She worked for Lockheed Martin before she began a family of her own. She was a methodical planner and a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She and Greg were charter members of Jacob's Well Baptist Church, where she was very involved in church activities including teaching the AWANA program. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and quilting. She will be remembered for her dedication to her God, love for her family, and service to others.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Gregory Alan Jones of Diamondhead; four sons, Nathan Glenn Jones, Jeremy Alan Jones, Gavin Anderson Jones, and Henry William Jones; her parents; her siblings, William Clifton Anderson (Teressa) of Pascagoula, and Susan Melissa Cochran (Ronnie Lynn) of Pascagoula; and her nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Jacob's Well Baptist Church, 29554 Vic Fahey, Pass Christian, MS 39571, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Diamondhead.
