Larry Eugene "Bear" Casteel

Larry ""Bear"" Casteel, age 66, of Woolmarket, MS passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 17, 2016 at Keesler Medical Center. Born in Lexington, Nebraska, he lived most of his life in South Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepdad, Henrietta and Charles Gullion.
Larry was extremely loving and proud of his daughter Shelly Naramore of Diamondhead, MS, and his granddaughter Morgan (Naramore) Laxer and her husband Jason Laxer of Madison, MS, and his grandson Aaron Naramore of Saucier, MS. He is also survived by his Love, Dawn Herndon of Woolmarket, MS and her children, Amber Nelson and Leslie Alford and her husband David; three grandchildren, Rebecca Alford, Brittany Alford, and Olivia Nelson; one brother, Terry Gullion; and one sister Connie Miller.
He was a graduate of Lexington High School, class of 1967. He served in the United States Navy from 1968 through 1973 where he served two tours in the Vietnam War.
He was a past member of Southern Coast Riders, MA, where he was a frequent recipient of the Pepe' Le Pew award, Ghost Riders, MA, and past commander of CVMA 44-1. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was passionate about his Harley and enjoyed riding it as much as possible. His hobbies included antique cars and woodworking. He loved karaoke.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers, that a donation of any size be made in his name to the CVMA 44-1, PO Box 3763 Gulfport, MS 30505.
A visitation will be held on Monday May 23, 2016 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. A procession will leave at 1:40 PM for a graveside service with military honors at 2:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
