Lam Manh Tra a native of Vietnam, and longtime resident of D’Iberville, MS., passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 56.

The captain of his own commercial shrimping vessel, Lam loved being out on the water, shrimping, fishing, watching sports, spending time with family, drinking his coffee in the mornings, and watching cat youtube short videos.

Lam was the most generous, kind man in the world. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 29 years, Hannah, and a loving father to his three children, Thong, Jennifer, and Michelle. He had a way of making those around him laugh with his wit, including making fun of himself to see others laugh and smile. His generosity to others was always evident as he went out of his way to help others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife Hannah Thi Hoang; mother Que Tra; son, Thong Tra; two daughters, Jennifer Tra and Michelle Tra; sister, Ann Tra; brother, Mike Tra; niece and nephew, Amy Tra and David Tra; along with numerous extended relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., in West Jackson County, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held in the Chapel following visitation. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ocean Springs.
