Elonza Komis Record, age 52, of Gulfport, passed away on October 27, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Ray Hall; and 2 cousins, Toby Booker and Archie Booker.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 34 years, Saint Allen Record; a daughter, Krystal Barr; her father, William Charles Gaffney; her mother, Caroline Hall; 2 grandchildren: Kylan Amir Barr and Laiyah Barr; her siblings: Kolon Gaffney, Bernard Gaffney, Kethenus Gill, Markiee Gaston, Candace Gaston, Willena Gaffney, and William Gaffney, Jr; 2 aunts: Jeann Booker and Dora Yates; cousins: Tyrone Wallace, Shantell Wallace, Milissa Wallace, Uraselia Craig, Roshell Lewis, and Celeste Weatherford; and other members of the Booker, Record, and Gaffney families .
Mrs. Record was a native of Paris, TX and was a long time resident of Gulfport. She was a devoted military wife for 24 supporting her husband during his career in the United States Navy SeaBees. She was also known for her loving and caring spirit: if you needed help - she would help; if you need a place to stay – she would help; if you needed food – she would help! She enjoyed fishing, dancing music – Gospel and Rap, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a child of God and would often say “God knows me!”
The family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and support. Life is so precious and it hurts so much when someone you love is gone. Stand in the word of the Lord and He will make you strong.
A family gathering will be held in Paris, TX at the home of Diane Johnson, 1018 Cedar Street, Paris, TX 75460, on November 5, 2022, at 2 pm.
