A proud graduate of Harrison Central High School, Sam channeled his talents and hard work into his career as the owner and operator of A & M Appliance since 1975. Through his business, he built countless friendships with customers, many of whom became like family and will be remembered fondly by those he served.

In addition to his professional life, Sam was a devoted trapper for the State of Mississippi for over 30 years, earning the nickname "Gator Man.” His love for the outdoors and wildlife was evident to all who knew him, and he shared many stories of his adventures and experiences throughout his years.

Sam is survived by his brother, Mark G. Searcy, and his cherished daughters, Ashley M. Seymour & her husband Sonny, and Angela M. Hood. He took great joy in being a grandfather to Aubrey Seymour Masters & her husband Conner, Aiden R. Seymour, and Ava J. Hood, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy in his life. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Zat, who provided him with companionship and love throughout his years.

The family will honor his request with a private celebration of life, cherishing the memories they built together. They would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Ocean Springs Hospital, Ocean Springs Health & Rehab, and Vital Caring Services for their compassionate care during his final days.
