Kenneth L. "Kenny" Jones passed away tragically on the morning of November 5, 2017. He was an amazing inspiration to so many that came in contact with him, and he will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those who knew him.
Kenny was born in Oakland, CA on June 13, 1953 and graduated from Gulfport East High School. He received his undergraduate degree from USM and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law.
Kenny practiced real estate law on the MS Gulf Coast for 30 years. First with his father Walter Rayford Jones, and then with his brothers when they became lawyers. Later, Kenny opened Gulf Title Company and grew the company to be the premier real estate closing firm on the Coast. He closed his practice in 2011 due to his progression with Parkinson's disease.
Almost everyone in real estate on the MS Gulf Coast knew Kenny and liked him. He made everyone smile and was always there with a witty joke to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Throughout the years he has helped so many real estate agents, developers and other attorneys in both life and business. He truly cared for people and was always there to listen no matter who they were or what they were going through. He always went out of his way with a kind word and a smile to make people feel happy and loved.
Perhaps his most defining quality was his positive attitude. No matter the situation, even though his suffering with Parkinson's disease, he always maintained a positive attitude and outlook on life. You could always count on Kenny to look at the bright side of the situation.
He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Rayford Jones.
Kenny leaves behind many family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Jones; wife, Natalie Jones; former wife, Debby Jones; his brothers, Donald (Evelyn) Jones and David Jones; sons, Matt (Lindsay Beth) Jones, and Kenneth (Leigh) Jones; daughter, Tiffany Jones; three grandchildren, Frazier Jones, Allie Jones and Shepard Jones; step-children, Christina Schouest, and Jake Moore; step-grandchildren, Harrison Brewer, Jonah Brewer, Pierce Henton, and Ezrah Henton.
