Kenneth Lamar Alexander

Kenneth Lamar Alexander, age 86, of Pass Christian, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 19, 2013.
Mr. Alexander was born in Long Beach to George Ellis Alexander and Leona Allen Alexander Leggett. He was a retired boat captain and his hobbies included gardening and fishing. Many of his friends and family were the recipients of his harvest of vegetables and nets of mullet. He was good with his hands and made many of the nets he fished with. He will be remembered as a good, Christian man with a generous heart and stern hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip Alexander; first wife, Wanda Fayard Alexander; and siblings, Ellis Alexander, Larry Leggett, Bobby Leggett, and Audrey Chiniche.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beulah Dubuisson Alexander of Pass Christian; children, Norma Lee Cuevas (Robert), Keith Alexander, Sr. (Deborah), Robert Alexander (Cassandra), Gale Cuevas (David); siblings, Gay Bass, Wayne Leggett, Danny Leggett; grandchildren, Tina Cuevas, Keith Alexander, Jr., Heather Alexander Duffy, Kelly Alexander Watson, Tiffany Cuevas, Nicholas Alexander, Casie Alexander, and Dylan Cuevas; great grandchildren, April Allen, Mykenzie Alexander, Kurt Duffy, Justice Lizana, Athan Alexander, Korahlyn Duffy, and Ronan Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
