Kendall Pell

Kendall M. "Ken" Pell, Jr., age 71, of Long Beach, left this world on March 17, 2018.
He was a lifelong resident of Long Beach and was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather that will be sadly missed by his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kendall M. Pell, Sr. and Jeritza Attaya Pell.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Rebecca Schruff; his daughters, Emma (David) Ward, Rachel (Shane) Walker, Jillian (Seth) Lyons; his sons, Jeremy (Stephanie) Schruff, and Shane Schruff (Melissa Parker); his grandchildren, Victoria Walker, Olivia Walker, Shane Patrick Walker, Sophia Ward, Jeffrey Lyons, Anna Schruff, Abigail Lyons, and Morgan Dedeaux; his great-grandchild, Avery Dedeaux; his brother, George Pell; and his loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He served the citizens of Long Beach for 27 years as a first responder, first with the Long Beach Fire Department and then the police department.  He served as the Chief of Police from 1980 until his retirement in 1991.
Friends may visit at the Long Beach Presbyterian Church, East Second Street, Long Beach, on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 10 - 11 am with a memorial service immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Long Beach Presbyterian Church.
