Keenan William Hansen was born in northwestern Washington on May 6, 1981, the first son of Jane and David Hansen. The family moved to Michigan when Keenan was 9 months old. Keenan was soon joined by his brother and new best friend. Keenan returned to Washington and celebrated his 7th birthday. There he attended elementary and junior high school. Keenan received many scholastic honors, was placed in the Gifted and Talented Program and was chosen to play in the Knowledge Bowl.
Keenan then moved to northwestern Pennsylvania where he graduated high school. He then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Penn State University, Bernend Campus where he served as a Student Government Senator.
Keenan was employed as a Video Producer, Multimedia Graphic Design Instructor, Freelance Designer, Human Factors Engineer, IT Crossfunctional SDM Lead and Information Technology Project Manager. He enjoyed woodworking, knife making, target shooting, gaming and writing. His wry sense of humor and winning smile will be missed by many.
Keenan was preceeded in death by three of his grandparents and is survived by his brother, his parents, his step parents, his grandmother, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew. A small family gathering to celebrate his life will be held in Ohio in late May.
