Kay Frances McDaniel

Kay Frances ""Memaw"" McDaniel, 80, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Gulfport. Some called her Katy and others called her mother, but most called her Memaw. She was a loving sister, mother and grandmother who was always there when you needed her. She selflessly put her family first at all times and made everyone feel like her favorite. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis McDaniel, 5 brothers and a sister.
She is survived by 3 children, Jeff McDaniel (Debbie) of Saucier, Audrey Green of Gulfport, Barry McDaniel(Michelle) of Gulfport. 2 sisters, Jeanie McCain of Tomnolen, MS, Brenda Chism (Van) of Springfield, MO, 8 grandchildren, Angela Holliman, January Tucker, Kandy Cottrell, Bethany McDaniel, Brandy Cottrell, Kimberly McDaniel, Justin McDaniel and Kaytie McDaniel. 4 great-grandchildren, Cameron Johnson, Addison Johnson, Ashtan McDaniel and Sims McDaniel; 1 great great grandson, Easton Johnson.
A memorial service for Kay will be Sunday, January 12 at 2:00pm at Grace Chapel Church on Landon Road in Gulfport. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport is handling arrangements.
