Our beautiful, loving wife, mother, and Grammy went home to be with Jesus on January 23, 2017.
Mom was a selfless, gracious, determined and courageous woman. She consistently put others before herself, gave generously, and often "adopted" people that just needed a family. She was determined to live her life and battle this disease on her own terms, and that's what she did....relentlessly. Her courage and bravery weren't matched. Mom's faith never wavered, and her hope was never in a treatment, a doctor, or a diagnosis. Her hope was in the Lord, and she chose to CHOOSE JOY in all her circumstances. We trust in the Lord and His ways, and even though we ache today, we know that we will rejoice with her again. Until that day, we will CHOOSE JOY in all circumstances.
Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Wade C. Howk, her daughter, Suzanne Yates (Bryan), her son, Wade Howk Jr. (Amy), her grandchildren, Goose, Sissy, Carter, and Grant, and many "adopted" family members and friends.
A private graveside service will be held in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, is serving the family and online tributes may be offered a www.riemannfamily.com
