Katherine Cooke Cox

Katherine Cooke Cox, age 90 and a resident of Biloxi, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Gulfport. . Katherine was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda, and her husband, Walt. She is survived by two sons, Del and Larry, daughter-in-law, Cecilia, and granddaughter, Lisa. Katherine had a long and fairly successful life. Through hard work and ambition, she and her husband, Walt, rose from less than fortunate circumstances and leave behind two fortunate sons. While raising a family, she worked as a waitress, and then went back to school to become a registered nurse where she worked for over 20 years.
