Katherine Austin Allen

Katherine Austin Allen, age 50, of Gulfport, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Austin, and a daughter, Noelle Thrash.
Survivors include her loving husband, Neal Allen, her daughter, Breanna Allen, her mother, Nell Austin, 2 brothers, Frank Austin, Jr., and Ron Austin, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenny and Melinda Allen, her brother-in-law, T. J. (Tiffany) Allen, 3 nephews, Landon Allen, Parker Allen, and Taylor Austin and a special cousin, Jody Miller.
Katherine worked as a patrol officer and D.A.R.E. officer for the Meridian Police Department and later retired as a Master D.U.I. Instructor for the Law Enforcement Liaison Office. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Gulfport, and loved spending time with her family watching Breanna dance and ride her horse. ""Kat"" was dedicated to her family and never lost her love and care for them and she inspired so many with her strength and gave others strength throughout her illness.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 29, 2014, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12290 Depew Road, Gulfport, MS 39503 where friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
