Karl E. Staub, age 55, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 27, 2019.
Karl was born on June 29, 1964 in Rhinebeck, New York. He was the son of the late Robert K. Staub and Grace C. Fulford Staub.
Karl was a machinist for 30 years and did construction for 5 years. He loved writing songs, playing guitar, cards, board games, fishing and was a big history and Bible person. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Ptolemy Xavier Staub; and his father-in-law, Angelo Metrando. Survivors include his loving wife, Darlene M. Staub of Long Beach; his daughter, Athena R. Staub of Long Beach; his sons, Robert T. Staub and Christopher B. Staub both of Colorado, and their mother, Terresa Dismuke Staub; his sisters, Barbara (Dean) McCann and Elaine (Charles) Pique, both of Long Beach; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Dolores Metrando; his sister-in-law, Holly (Robert) Pontefract of Appleton, WI; his brothers-in-law, Joseph (Michele) Metrando and Charles Michael (Bridgette) Metrando, both of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jason (Sandylynn) Metrando of Antigo, WI; and also by his dogs, Rocky, Tina, Queenie and Rebel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation ( www.kidney.org ) or the American Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.org ).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3 rd from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, with the funeral service beginning at 4:00 p.m.
