Karl A. Pehnke, 54, was taken to be with the Lord on Friday, December 20, 2013.
Karl was born on June 10, 1959, in Mineral Wells, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Pehnke Jr. and Hannelore Pehnke. He leaves behind three children, Sara (Mike) Aucoin of Wiggins, MS, Travis (Manda) Loncar of Columbia, MO and Ian (Lauren) Pehnke of Ocean Springs, MS, along with his beloved grandson, Tiergan Loncar. He also leaves behind his best friend, Preston Tims, his sisters, Sharon Pehnke of Texas, and Velma Gottschalk of Arkansas and his brother, Joseph A. Pehnke III of Texas.
Karl had a big heart and was a loving and giving soul. It was a rare occasion to see Karl without a smile on his face. He volunteered with Feed My Sheep and always gave to anyone in need. Karl loved to cook and landscape.
A Celebration of Karl's life will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Harbor Market Pavilion in Jones Park in Gulfport.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with arrangements.
