Ms. Karen Denise Donlin Smith, 51, of Long Beach, MS after a 4 year long battle with lung cancer, went home to be with her Heavenly Father and loved ones on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was born in Harrison County, MS on August 22, 1961. Karen was a loving and devoted mom, and the best grandmother in the world.
Although she was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Karen loved to go to Florida and spend time with her family and friends. She worked at Cable One for 17 years up until she was diagnosed with cancer and began her long battle. She never gave up, she was a fighter and everyone saw it. She got up every day and continued to push on for her family. She is loved and missed by many.
Karen is preceded in death by her two loving parents Joyce Donlin and Charles Donlin Sr. of Pass Christian, MS.
Karen is survived by her daughter Wendy Tillman; son Eddie Tillman Jr. and wife Britney; and daughter Angela Browne and husband Skylar; grandchildren Aiden, Jaci, Eli, Lhondyn and Jax'n; sisters Sharon Sperance and husband Bill, Charlene Swanson, Terri Saegart and husband Jeff, and Jeanne Jernigan and husband Brian; and brother Chuck Donlin and wife Cyndi.
At Karen's request, there will not be a memorial service.
