Karen Patty ‘Ralphie’ Gorline, born November 4, 1960, in Southern Illinois, and a native of the Ocean Springs, MS. Community since 1978, left her earthly home on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving mother and very dear friends to join those who had gone before her to join them in her eternal heavenly home.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Ralph Spencer; her brothers Spencer Gorline, Frank Gorline and Gail ‘Tee’ Gorline; and her very special brother-in-law, Michael Whitehead.
Ralphie is survived by her loving mom, Betty Gorline; her brothers, Gary (Lynda) Gorline, Ed (Sue) Gorline, her sister, Sharon Whitehead, sisters-in law, Georgia Gorline and Donna Gorline; her special Aunt Janice Gorline, her special nephew Karl Spencer Gorline along with numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends and special neighbors.
Ralphie loved people and enjoyed interacting with those she met in any situation. You may remember her from her time spent working at Desporte’s Bakery, Betty’s Alterations, Terrace café at Beau Rivage, tending bar part time, or possibly when she was filling a card rack for the Hallmark Company at numerous retail stores, caring for the elderly or working at B&D Plastics until her illness forced retirement.
In her early years, she loved Nascar, putting together jigsaw puzzles, working on crossword puzzles, and reading. Ralphie loved to cook for those she cared about and often spent most holidays cooking and baking for not only loved ones, but her special friends and neighbors as well. She had a unique way of decorating and creating a special vibe in a room that most people wouldn’t even think to use as a decorating technique. She loved volunteering for the VFW in Bay St. Louis, as well as volunteering with the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her for her uniqueness.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of you for remembering ‘Ralphie’ for who she was. Her own person.
