Karan Sue Foster Murrell, age 67, of Biloxi, passed away on April 19, 2016 in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Azarene Foster; her sister, Mavis Young; and her brother, Rolan Foster.
Karan is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Milton ""Jimmy"" Murrell, Sr. of Biloxi; her children, James Milton ""Jim"" (Michelle) Murrell, Jr. and Pamela Caldwell, both of Biloxi; her sister, Sondra Lovelace of Longview, TX; and her three grandchildren, Cody Gray, Cade Caldwell, and Alex Murrell.
Prior to moving to Mississippi, Karan owned two day care and early childhood development centers where she enjoyed caring for and nurturing children. She worked as the facilities administrator for Hancock Bank where she retired after many years of service.
Karan was loving and caring person who was always helping others. She was a loving grandmother and was known as ""Mimi"" to her family. Karan was very spiritual and led many bible study classes. She was the team leader of WOW, Women of Wisdom for many years.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:30 p.m.
