Kandy Elisa Elmore of Biloxi passed away May 20, 2016. She was born in Baytown, Texas, and was the daughter of Ellis and Mamie Elmore.
Kandy received her education at East Texas Baptist University and Sam Houston State University with a B.S. degree in Education. She taught Advanced Placement and accelerated history classes at Gulfport High School for 23 years and was the coach of the state champion Quiz Bowl team. She was to receive her Master's Degree in History from Concordia University in August 2016.
Kandy was predeceased by her parents and is survived by a sister, Judy Sears, of Texas. She is also survived by a host of friends, students, and fellow educators. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
