June Nettles Rounds, age 97, passed away at Greenbrier Nursing Home on April 6, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Walter and Sarah Nettles; her husband, Delmore ""Ace"" Rounds; her sisters, Retha Mae Nettles, Olive Nettles Williams Lord; her brothers, Ed Nettles and Carey Nettles; a son, Bill Massie; a daughter, Lena Massie Dunn; a grandson, Mark Deluca; and a granddaughter, Lori Ann.
Mrs. Rounds is survived by her daughter, Shirley Deluca; and grandson, Mickey Deluca, both of North Haledon, New Jersey; granddaughter Stacy Dunn (Keith) Borgfeldt; great granddaughters, Bradlee Kallen Borgfeldt and Avery Dunn Borgfeldt, all of Sugarland, TX; granddaughter, Kathlee Massie Curtis and great grandson, Trey Curtis of Spartanburg, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church, worked at many department stores in New Orleans and has been a hostess at numerous restaurants. During the war she worked on an assembly line building air planes. She was a very giving person and loved making flower arrangements for family and friends. She was a very dedicated wife to her husband Ace, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
There will be a graveside service on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30pm. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport is serving the family. An online guestbook may be signed and tributes may be offered to the family at www.riemannfamily.com.
