June First Murphy passed away at Gulfport Memorial Hospital on June 20, 2015. She was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, as the youngest of two children to Orson and Pearle First.
Junie, as she was affectionately referred to by all who came to know her, was married to Raymond C. Murphy for 66 wonderful years. She was a homemaker, volunteered for numerous local and national charities and organizations, and a loving mother to three children. During her ""retirement"" years, Junie was actively engaged in several passions including the P.E.O. Chapter Q of Mississippi, Red Hats, her Book Club, and her water exercise group. She was known to play a competitive hand of bridge and loved the social time with her playing partners in the Bridge Party Club.
June is survived by her son, Gari Allen Murphy of Kissimmee, Florida; daughter, Sandra Lee Murphy of North Providence, Rhode Island; son, Eric Drew Murphy of Wayzata, Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Melanie Kuhr Murphy of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Allison Marie Murphy, Andrew Maxwell Murphy, and Alexander Michael Murphy of Plano, Texas; Stephanie Lee Geib and husband Grant Caldwell of North Kingston, Rhode Island; Christine Kay Ayala and husband Victor Ayala of North Smithfield, Rhode Island; great grandchildren, Olivia Gladys Ayala and Sofia Delma Ayala.
The Murphy family would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to all of Junie's neighbors and friends in Diamondhead, Mississippi, for their daily support after Raymond passed away in December of 2012.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian, MS assisted the family with arrangements.
