June Catherine Acosta

June Catherine Acosta, age 72, of Carriere, MS, passed away on June 13, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elfren S. Acosta, Sr; her parents, James Patrick Crawford, Sr and Sarah Sumerlin Crawford; and 4 siblings, Michael Crawford, James “Pat” Crawford, Joan C. Hill, and Rosemary C. Federer, and Carol C. Shiyou.

Mrs. Acosta is survived by her children, Sarah Dauro, Elfren Acosta, Jr (Jennifer), Christopher Acosta (Bridgette), and Rosa Smith (Jeremy); her grandchildren, Cody Acosta, Jay Smith, Christopher Acosta II, Tres Acosta, Sinjin Smith, Brennan Acosta, Leah Acosta, Isabella Dauro, and Roman Dauro; her great-grandchildren, Coraline Smith, Lyla Smith, Addyson Acosta, Olivia Acosta, and Ava Acosta; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews that she loved dearly.

Mrs. Acosta was a native of Mobile, AL and was a long time resident of Carriere, MS. She was a loving stay at home mother and a dedicated wife.

As we mourn her loss, we find comfort in the knowledge that she rejoices in heaven, reunited with her beloved husband and cherished family members. May her soul rest in eternal peace and may we take comfort in the love and memories she has left us.

A private interment will take place in Biloxi National Cemetery.
